NAUMAN SMITH EXPANDS TRUSTS & ESTATES PRACTICE GROUP WITH NEW HIRE
Harrisburg, PA – (February 9, 2023) Nauman, Smith, Shissler & Hall, LLP, Harrisburg’s longest-standing law firm, serving the region’s businesses and families since 1871, welcomes attorney Nicholas Schwartz to the Tax, Trusts and Estates practice group.
Nauman Smith Partner and fellow Trusts and Estates attorney, J. Stephen Feinour, believes that by growing the firm’s team, they are better equipped to meet the needs of Central Pennsylvania’s maturing population and place an increased emphasis on wealth management and estate planning.

Schwartz has been helping people understand their estate options and navigate the probate and trust administration process since 2018. “It is an area of the law where you can really help people. I believe people should be able to focus on their grief during difficult times and shouldn’t need to worry about the fine legal details. There are a lot of misconceptions about the probate process that I hope to clarify for my clients,” says Schwartz.
At Nauman Smith, Schwartz will work alongside partners Spencer G. Nauman, Jr. and J. Stephen Feinour whose reputations in the area for exceptional legal service routinely rank them among Harrisburg’s leading lawyers.
In addition to his Trusts and Estates work, Schwartz is committed to supporting local families through his efforts with Dauphin County where he represents parents in juvenile dependency proceedings and alleged incapacitated persons in guardianship proceedings. His passion for helping others extends to representing children’s best interests as a guardian ad litem in contentious custody cases.
Schwartz received his law degree from Penn State Law after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Penn State University. He is originally from Mechanicsburg and returned to the area in 2018 where he now lives with his wife, Laura, and their dogs, Louie and Hank.
