Health Care Law

Our attorneys are experienced and knowledgeable in the areas of managed care, long-term care, and the federal health care fraud and abuse laws. In particular, we have represented health care facilities and providers on corporate compliance, which have included issues of patient safety requirements, MCARE, Federal Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act and HIPAA. We have also provided guidance to medical and nursing staff on contract preparation. Health care facilities, such as small community hospitals have also received licensing services from our attorneys. Nauman Smith maintains an active health care law practice. As a result of the membership of various health related associations including the Health Law Section, American Health Lawyers Association, Health Care Compliance Association and Healthcare Professionals Association of Pennsylvania, our health law attorneys are continually educating and providing client assistance on rules and regulations involving the health care industry.
