Nauman Smith Attorney Craig J. Staudenmaier to Speak at PBI Seminar on Common Pleas Practice under the Right to Know Law

Nauman Smith attorney Craig J. Staudenmaier will be one of the featured speakers at the PBI seminar "The Right to Know Law Two Years After: where we are, how we got here and where we should go next" on Monday, November 15, 2010 in Mechanicsburg.  Craig will address the appeals process before the Courts of Common Pleas from the requester's viewpoint.  Presenting with Craig will be The Honorable Richard K. Renn, Judge of the York County Court of Common Pleas, Emily Leader, Esquire of the Pennsylvania School Boards Association and Gilbert High, Esquire of High, Swartz LLP. 

The seminar will address the state of the Right to Know Law two years since its enactment, practice issues involving the Office of Open Records, appeals to the Courts of Common Pleas and to the Commonwealth Court and roundtable discussions on recent decisions under the law and where changes to the law may be needed.  Additional presenters are The Honorable Patricia A. McCullough of the Commonwealth Court, Teri Henning, Esquire and Melissa Melewsky, Esquire of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, Nathanael Byerly, Chief Counsel, Office of Open Records, Andrea Bowman, Esquire of the Governor's Office of General Counsel and Erik Arneson, Communications & Policy Director of the Senate Majority Leader's Office
