Nauman Smith to Host Networking Event for the Women's Fund of the Foundation for Enhancing Communities
(Harrisburg, PA) -- "The Women's Fund is the only grant making association in the central PA region which directlybenefits women and girls in our community," Nauman Smith Attorney Suzanne S. Friday said today, announcing that Harrisburg law firm Nauman Smith will host a business after-hours networking event May 21, in connection with TFEC and the Women’s Fund.
“Nauman Smith is excited to sponsor this event to provide networking opportunities and to introduce the Fund to local business women and community leaders,” Ms. Friday, who leads the firm’s Tax, Trusts and Estates practice group and Chairs The Women’s Fund for The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, added.
The Women’s Fund is a prudently invested endowment fund which will grow in perpetuity providing grants to help women and their families progress economically. It is part of a growing movement nationwide which allows accomplished women the opportunity to invest their success back into their communities.
More than $50 million in grants have been given by women’s funds internationally. “The local focus of The Women’s Fund is to broaden awareness of and response to issues affecting women and girls through the power of collective philanthropy,” Ms. Friday added. “Our program emphasis this year is on women and family health, economic self sufficiency and education. Accomplished women -- executives and professionals from across the public and private community -- already participate in the Fund.”
In addition to representing individuals, corporations, partnerships and LLC's in business and transactional matters, Ms. Friday specializes in sophisticated tax and estate planning and often advises small business owners on succession planning as well as wealth and asset preservation. She is often retained to advise trustees and executors regarding the administration of trusts and estates.
