Nauman Smith Attorney Discusses Open Records Law at Public Forums
HARRISBURG, Pa. - Nauman Smith Managing Partner Craig Staudenmaier recently participated in two forums regarding open government and Pennsylvania's open records laws. Click "Panel discusses access law" to read more from the Daily Collegian.
Staudenmaier discussed open records in a seminar called "What do you know about your right to know," which was sponsored by the Pennsylvania Freedom of Information Coalition and the Pennsylvania Center for the First Amendment that was held October 16th at State College.
Staudenmaier, who represents a number of media clients as a First Amendment attorney, discussed the discussed the Right to Know law, proposed legislation to revise the current law and procedures Commonwealth and non-Commonwealth agencies need to follow.
He also joined Kim de Bourbon, executive director of the Pennsylvania Freedom of Information Coalition, in addressing the topic of open records at the Pennsylvania State Librarians Association annual meeting on October 14th at State College.
Staudenmaier is a member of the PA and Dauphin County Bar Associations. Staudenmaier is an affiliate member of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association. His primary areas of practice include media law, civil litigation and bankruptcy.
