Professional and Community Service
The attorneys of Nauman Smith are encouraged to contribute their time and knowledge to both professional and community services. The firm provides Pro Bono Legal Services through the Dauphin County Bar Association, handling several cases per year. The following is a summary of some of the examples of how each attorney donates his or her time and legal services to the community.
Spencer G. Nauman, Jr
Mr. Nauman serves as President of the L.B. Smith Educational Foundation. He is a Director Emeritus and former President of the Harrisburg Academy and was a Director of the Harrisburg Hospital and the Harrisburg Area Chapter, American Red Cross. He provides pro bono legal services to the Pennsylvania National Horse Show Foundation and other local charitable organizations.
J. Stephen Feinour
Mr. Feinour devotes his time and legal services to the community through a variety of means. He joins his co-worker, Lucinda Glinn, as a volunteer fund-raiser for the Allied Arts Fund and was previously chairperson of the Allocations Panel. Mr. Feinour is a member of the Rotary Club of Harrisburg, as well as the Central Pennsylvania Regional Cabinet for Dickinson College. In the past, Mr. Feinour served on a number of Boards of Directors of organizations, such as the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League, Camp Hill Soccer Club, Camp Hill Athletic Boosters, and the YMCA of Harrisburg.
Craig J. Staudenmaier
Mr. Staudenmaier participates in the Dauphin County Bar Association pro bono program since its inception and has been active in community affairs as a former member of the Institutional Review Committee of the Pinnacle Health System. He also is Vice Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Bar Press Committee. A graduate of the Leadership Harrisburg Area program, Mr. Staudenmaier also serves as a member of the Community Advisory Board of the Junior League of Harrisburg and on the Youth Council and Planned Giving Committee at his local church.
Benjamin C. Dunlap, Jr
Mr. Dunlap provides pro bono legal services to a task force for The Greater Harrisburg Foundation to help it raise matching funds and distribute grants from a national funding partnership.
Guy P. Beneventano
Mr. Beneventano's many community involvements include the chairmanship of Mayor Stephen Reed's Urban Initiative, a nonprofit corporation organized to support and supplement the programs of the Harrisburg School District. He has also widely lectured on various topical matters to groups such as the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania.
Lucinda C. Glinn
Ms. Glinn serves as Vice Chair of Planned Parenthood of the Susquehanna Valley Action Fund, and has been named to the Planned Parenthood of the Susquehanna Valley Board, serving on the Executive Committee as Nominating Chair. As a Lafayette graduate, she continues to serve her alma mater as an Alumni Admissions Representative (AAR). She is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Healthcare Professionals Association, the Health Care Compliance Association, Central Pennsylvania Association for Female Executives (CPAFE), and American Association of University Women. She’s assisted with various projects through the YWCA, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Habitat for Humanity and the Allied Arts Fund. Ms. Glinn has also helped coordinate the People’s Law School through her involvement in the Dauphin County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
Suzanne S. Friday
Mrs. Friday is a volunteer with the Junior League of Harrisburg and Operation Safe Surf, a joint project with the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office, designed to educate children regarding safe Internet practices. She also serves as a member of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber of Commerce's education committee. Mrs. Friday has worked with the Dauphin County Bar Association's continuing legal education program, and has consulted with small, start-up nonprofits on a pro bono basis. Mrs. Friday is active at her daughter's school and enjoys participating in animal rights and conservation causes.
