Lucinda C. Glinn
Civil litigation, including contracts, local government and administrative agency issues, and health care compliance are Lucinda Glinn's primary areas of practice. Her interests include employment law, civil rights, MCARE and patient safety reporting.
A summa cum laude and Honors graduate of Lafayette College, Ms. Glinn received her Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a founding member of The Georgetown Journal on Gender and the Law addressing gender equality issues, and was the Executive Editor of the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy.
Prior to her association with Nauman Smith, Ms. Glinn was a litigation associate for the Harrisburg office of a national firm. While there, she also served as Risk Manager and in-house counsel for a non-profit community hospital. Ms. Glinn authored publications related to hospital law, including analysis of EMTALA regulations, and has presented on hospital reporting obligations under Act 13 and the litigation reforms under MCARE. She also co-authored "Binding Norms and Agency's Intent: Study in Inconsistency or Incorporated Doctrine?" published in the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Annual Administrative Law Symposium (2000).
Ms. Glinn is licensed in Pennsylvania and admitted to practice before the state courts of Pennsylvania, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and the Supreme Court of the United States. She is a member of the Dauphin County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and is a member of the Administrative Law and Civil Litigation Sections, respectively. Ms. Glinn is also a member of the Health Law Section, American Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, Healthcare Professionals Association of Pennsylvania and the Health Care Compliance Association.
Active in a variety of community affairs, Ms. Glinn has assisted with projects sponsored by the YWCA, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Habitat for Humanity and Allied Arts Funds. She is a Board Member of Planned Parenthood of the Susquehanna Valley and currently serves as Vice Chair of the organization's Action Fund, which promotes advocacy and education on women's health and reproductive rights issues. Ms. Glinn was awarded Volunteer of the Year for 2006 by the organization. She is also a member of the Central Pennsylvania Association of Female Executives and American Association of University Women. She also serves as an Alumni Admissions representative for her alma mater Lafayette College. Furthermore, Ms. Glinn is a member of the Junior League of Harrisburg, a volunteer organization dedicated to the needs of women and children in the community.
