Nauman Smith Hosts CREDC Reception

Co-chairs Jim Nulton, PPL’s Regional Community Relations Director, and Sharon Ryan, President of Dasher, update guests on CREDC’s Capital Campaign

On September 27, Nauman Smith hosted a reception in support of CREDC’s 2012 Capital Campaign.  The two-hour reception at the firm’s offices in the newly renovated Fulton Bank Building honored the hundreds of businesses and individuals who have contributed to the 2012 CREDC Campaign: Making a Difference that will support economic development in our region over the next four years.

The Capital Region Economic Development Corp. has a $3 million capital campaign goal for 2012. The campaign kicked off May 9. The funds will help support operations, matching funds for government programs, industry-specific marketing, a business diversity initiative, the Murata Business Center and the Ben Franklin TechCelerator program.

CREDC is the economic development arm of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber. It is supported by fees generated for projects and support from its campaigns every four years. CREDC has made over $109 million in loans and grants since 2001, with an economic impact of $335 million and 11,600 jobs created and retained.
